DO NOT LET YOUR ENERGY GO THROUGH THE ROOF!

The CEC5: Demonstration of energy efficiency and utilisation of renewable energy sources through public buildings project will create a common pool of knowledge for the entire CENTRAL EUROPE Programme area.

Professionals will be trained in the relevant fields and state-of-the-art energy-efficient buildings will be developed to visibly prove the feasibility and applicability of RES and EE solutions.

The CEC5 project aims:

  • to provide measures that allow decision-makers to build energy-efficient high-quality buildings
  • to help local authorities make public buildings function as role models
  • to give the market an energy performance standard that allows for high ecological quality
  • to let investments rely on production of RES
  • to assist in achieving the European Union goal to reduce the CO2 emissions
  • to change public perception of public buildings that are considered Europe-wide worst examples regarding energy efficiency

The CEC 5 project  is a transnational work. In the CEC5 project partners start with the joint transnational evaluation of assessment criteria for ecological public buildings and the development of a respective certification procedure. Partners define the model for the public bodies to refer to as far as the sustainable construction is concerned. But it is the implementation in reality of the RES and EE solutions as pilot examples that lets see the results. That is why simultaneously in 7 countries 7 EE demonstration buildings are built / modernised to prove that sustainability counts. Stay with us and check the scope of works under the Demonstration Buildings tag.
